Borderless
Licensed to dream, I would travel to the war torn lands
To hold the hand of the dying; melancholy overwhelming my heart
As I hear of new life in the same land.
Young life that can barely hold; taught to hold weapons of war
Oh! What a shame, in the name to subdue and conquer lands.

Sojourn to my next stop over, to the malnourished famine ridden lands
To spread tales of hope and love untold;
To hope against hope that someday all this would come to an end.
To travel to tomorrows filled with abundance.
Set free to move in love alone.

I would gladly stop by under the huge banner;
That says ‘free education to one and all’.
Children and adults thirsty for knowledge, drinking to overflowing;
Content and masters, marching on to better tomorrows
With grateful hearts and minds, the will to share.

Boundaries ceasing to exist; spilling from nation to nation
Irrespective of colour, caste or creed.
These new minds bringing a new tomorrow which spells;
Prosperity, health and unison, from land to land, people to people;
The whole world not blue; but rainbow coloured with borderless skies.
Every person so different, yet so similar in thoughts.
To stand against the forces, that spells divisions.
Nations and lands transformed, having conquered the fear within;
To conquer and subdue; life becoming borderless.
One earth, different nations, peoples, tongues, climes;
Yet this beautiful sense of borderlessness overwhelming.

Grass smells so good, they are weeds no more!
People smile at each other, even though they have never met before.
Is this the same earth that carried so much strife?
Yes, it’s the same old place but in a borderless realm.
Indeed I am the borderless traveler,

This dream can never come to an end.
